An attention-getting butt can sometimes be tiresome... so you are right that bf jeans are not meant to show off that particular asset. I have bf jeans in both fits -- more sleek (although mine are all distressed so I'm not sure that makes them sleek) -- and able to pull off your hips. The regular size fit well in the waist and bum but is slouchy in the legs.
