Yes, the creep would be a deal-breaker for me. I solve this by doing longer length shorts, could this work, FluffySA? I'm also toying with the idea of a split skirt.

Unfortunately Dashielle, they do rub haha! I hope losing weight will lessen this, I am not planning on wearing shorts until I do lose some pounds if I'm being honest

One thing to consider is the dreaded "thigh creep" that can happen if your thighs rub together when you walk (as I'm told most do). I have this issue and therefore stay away from flowy, soft, drapey shorts. Perhaps you are blessed and will not have this experience, because they do look lovely on the right frame!

Thanks guys! Yes I am definitely talking about an above the knee length like this:
http://www.very.co.uk/love-lab.....580677.prd
I'm much shorter than the girl in this picture so it should come down lower on me thankfully!

Maybe you could even go to the knee or above but not any lower. I would have to see them

Perhaps you can provide a link to the style, fluffyshopacholic? The style in a soft drapey fabric could work really well.

I'm thinking if they hit above the knee, they might suit very well... provide balance because they flare out towards the hem.

Hi Angie,

I am a petitie (159cm) hourglass shape and I am 'top-heavy' and curvy. I am intrigued to know if I would suit the culotte style shorts because I love that style. But I'm worried they will make me look larger? Since I have such a small frame, even me being an average weight for my height, I look too big for my frame. I also have big thighs and a bit of a love handle problem, so I am very body conscious and critical of the way I look.

Any advice and tips will be greatly appreciated!
