I tried it on in the store, Harmonica, and if I could have used a black dress in my closet, I would have brought it home with me!

Currently a size 14, I tried on the XL and it fit well and with ease. At 5'6", the length of the hem (front and back) on me is virtually the same as in the model pic above.

The dress is very soft, and forgiving in the midsection. I would likely have added a simple belt for a bit more definition. As some have mentioned, the knit does shape around the bum a bit, even if you have plenty of room. Now, that always happens to me, because I'm, um, generous, in that area!

Hope that helps!

I would go for a petite M.

I got the M. Not sure of my exact measurements at the moment (a little afraid to check), but I'm 5'7", typically a US size 8 in dresses (sometimes 10 these days). 37" bust, 30" waist, 39" hips (maybe more). My hips nearly pushed me into a L in this.

I'm seriously considering this dress, but is very unsure about the sizing. My body type varies between apple/hourglass and hourglass/apple, dependent on weight (these days 60kg / 132 Ib 4oz). Usually I'm between S and M or European/German size 36-38.

My height is: 157 cm / 5'2"
From neck/shoulders to waist (narrowest part): 38-9 cm / 15"
Bust: 88 cm / 34"6
Waist (narrowest): 81 cm / 31"9
Tummy (widest): 94 / 37"
Hips (widest) 92 cm / 36"2

I guess petite size S or M would be the right depending on the sizing of this dress.

ETA: hopefully I've done the conversion right. Math was never my best subject ;-)
