abc - thank you so much for those words of wisdom. You are right and I never thought of it like that - my shoulders are relatively narrow compared to the rest of me and you are right I need structure to balance my body out.

EL Cee thanks for the review of the barefoot dreams sweater

Hi Frannieb -- I own #2 (Barefoot Dreams -- in a different color) and LOVE it. It is a great sweater for the price, and very versatile. (I wear it with skinnies, boyfriend jeans, pencil skirts and sleeveless sheath dresses.) But just know that the sleeves seem to run a bit narrow, which may only be a problem if you are intending to layer it over a substantial weight long sleeved tee or pullover. The other styles look great as well. Eileen Fisher brand is always a winner in my book.

Between number 1 and 2, if you're only getting one, I like 2 because I like the ruffly front, navy looks fresher for late winter/early spring, and it will be easier to get a coat over it. Number 3 does look like it would suit some people perfectly but it would be too much loose, light colored fabric on me, and that pocket placement is too low for me. Number 4 is pretty but I'm not sure that much lightweight fabric floating around would be flattering in winter. And I'm not sure how winter coats would look over either of the longer ones, although maybe you're in a warmer climate?
I do like number 1 though, and I could see it being really nice to have when it's warm enough to go out without a coat.

I like 2 and 3 best too. And you know why? It took me a LONG time to figure this out - I need structure in the shoulders/arms to balance my hips and lower body. I suspect you may be the same. When I put on items shaped like #1 they do NOTHING for me, and I finally figured out it is the dropped shoulder/dolman sleeve. I need a seam on the shoulder and fitted sleeves to give the garment the structure needed.

I've had my eye on that EF one #3 since dashelle posted it a while back. I think it is my first choice for you.

#2 seems as if it would look best with pencil skirts, and I like the navy color. 1 and 3 seem they might be the exact same length as a skirt, and 4 seems like it could overwhelm a skirt, though really fantastic with jeans!
That being said, can you order and try on for a true analysis?

Shipskittly - thanks for remembering my matrix boots they do look awesome with skinnies and would look great with #4

Dashielle - thank you for the feedback on the sweater - what scares me is the pocket placement would be right at my curviest part.

Will have to go back and reference your posts for your style, but wanted to pop in and say I have the EF silk twist and love it. It goes with every color, unlike some solids.

So I'm thinking I want to add a one more long cardigan this winter - I have a gray short sleeve one and would like to add a long sleeve one.

I had the gray one for years and couldn't figure out how to wear it until YLF and it quickly became my summer favorite. So now I want a late winter/spring refresh.

What I have found and learned by posting pictures is that in general I get some of my best feedback when I wear a long dramatic type topper. With my height and curviness they work for me instead of being overwhelming.

I'm attaching four potential ideas - They would need to work with skinnies or pencil skirts.

This is all part of coming to accept a moto just doesn't look good on me (after trying on more than I can count this winter in every price range) but a dramatic long sweater does. So Why not rock the dramatic long sweater.

I do realize that number 1 is a cape but I think it has potential.

All thoughts on which would work best for me would be much appreciated.
