What inseam do you think would be best, Kristin? We might be able to give more specific suggestions with that info?

Having said that: Express Editors come in long = 35 inch inseam.
http://www.express.com/clothin...../cat320071

This site has good info and a handy tool that lets you select jeans and trousers by inseam length (click on "Begin searching")
http://blog.searchbyinseam.com/

Kristin, I have the same issue -- I'm only 5'7" but struggle to find pants long enough. My 6'5" stepson wore my jeans by accident one day and we realized my legs are not all that much shorter than his (my husband and his sons are all really tall but long in the torso). That extra inch of leg length that nudges me into tall sizes can wreak havoc when I look for pants that I can wear with any kind of heel. I have a pair of black trousers from Nordstrom (I believe they are Laundry?) from about 6-7 years ago that are long enough to wear with a 3.5" heel and I will hang onto those things as long as I can!

Thanks so much ladies. I realize one thing I should have added is that while I'm 5'6, I've measured the height of my hips/legs with my 6 ft BF and our legs are the same length. I think I have a short torso, but that's hasn't caused many problems finding clothes. :)

So am I! I have no problem finding trousers and jeans that are long enough - if the pants aren't intentionally cropped. BR, AT, Express & J.Crew are your best bet.

Easy to fix! (I like your legs too, Kristen :))

Tapered and straight leg styles require shorter inseams.

As far as flared styles go, what's your height?

I believe the Limited have a 30, 33, and 35 inch inseam. Not sure which would work for you.

I think BR trousers are pretty long. My regular length Martin trousers are 33"; is that long enough for you? They claim tall is 36"!

http://bananarepublic.gap.com/.....=767234002

In general I think you'll have better luck with bootcuts or wide legs than straight or skinny since I feel like its trendy right now for the slimmer styles to be ankle length.

Eta: I've successfully gotten talls of ankle length pants to be full length but in general it's an iffy proposition if you're short with long legs because te front rise is usually longer as well on tall.

I found a pair of straight leg black trousers at NY&Co a year or so ago that fits me quite well in the tall length. Not one of my usual shopping destinations but you know what Angie says about leaving no retail stone unturned! I don't understand why more retailers and designers don't offer varying lengths.

I've realized I have a slight issue with pants. I have pretty long legs for the size of my waist and hips. While I think my legs are one of better features and I wouldn't trade that for anything (except how often they bang into things), does anyone have a recommendation for pants with longer inseam. I know I could just buy tall and hem it, but I was wondering if anyone knew of brand that made normal pants with a inch or 2 longer inseam for the normal size. Gap jeans usually work for me (I wear the perfect boot), but I'd love to find some non-denim trousers that will work. And that aren't Gap.

Thanks!
