You pick a frame from an assortment of colors and style, and then choose temples--as many as your budget will allow. You get two different arms to get started. I've got about six different temples right now that I swap on and off according to my mood. Every time I wear a different arm, it totally changes the look of the specs. They're not my favorites for day to day wear, but I do like them when I wear B&amp;W outfits. My most frequently worn frames are a slightly coppery color, but I think I'd like something with some teal or blue next time around. </p> <p>I'm never quite sure of what's truly flattering for my face when I shop for glasses either. I have a challenging combination of small face and large eyes and nose, so a lot of glasses just plain look weird on me. I’ve read and re-read Angie’s guidelines for picking out specs, and I’ve wandered through the forum trying to gain extra knowledge from others’ experiences. I still have a couple of questions about color and shape.</p> <p>Color – I have blonde hair and brown eyes, and I find myself gravitating toward brown frames all the time. In fact, the pair I have is brown. I’m pretty sick of them in general because I don’t feel like they create enough of a contrast with my hair and eyes. I’d love to find black and white frames, but that has proven to be challenging. And I don’t want colored frames, though an inner color of some sort would be great. So, my question…how do you know which colors look best?</p> <p>Shape – I keep gravitating toward the same shape every time I try on frames. Ideally, I’d like to have several frames, but left to my own devices, they’d all look the same and would probably be…ah, you guessed it…brown. Are there ranges of frame shapes that look good on different face shapes?
