YES. I scrunch my shirts like #1.

I think you might prefer a more streamlined version of #2.

#3 looks great, but only works with very tapered blazer sleeves. My Theory blazers achieve this look because of the way they fit on the forearm. Less adjusting.

Thanks, Angie,

For shirt sleeves, I often sort of roll (like you, I think), similar to #1, or I do the or the Jenna Roll that others have linked to.

For jackets, I sometimes do a small roll, once at the cuff, to try to achieve a look like #2, but I think it just ends up being frumpy.

When I try to scrunch like #3, things just end up sort of in a disastrous constantly adjusting mess. But perhaps I just need to resign myself to constant adjustments! Or I need to hire a JCrew stylist to trail me around ; )

Anyways, thanks for weighing in.

Hi Sarah. Nice to see you again. I miss you on the forum.

1. Do you roll or scrunch sleeves? I never roll - only scrunch. When do you roll?

2. This depends on how maximal you want the outfit to be. Rolling creates an additional texture and outfit feature - especially with contrast lining. Unrolled sleeves are simpler and more minimal. I'm a scruncher because I don't fancy the maximal look of a rolled sleeve. Furthermore, I never turn back the cuff of a shirt sleeve over a blazer sleeve. To my eye that can look frumpy, but others will disagree with the perception. It's a personal thing.

I leave all my jacket sleeves un-scrunched round about now till Spring time. Too cold. I aways pull up the sleeves of my pullover when I'm inside though (sans jacket).

3. Adjustment throughout the day is an unfortunate thing, but I see no way around it unless the sleeves of your blazer are snug enough to stay put.

Hope that helps. xo

I've become rather confused lately about sleeve rolling:

1) how to roll shirt sleeves. I'm least confused about this.
2) how/whether to roll vs. scrunch blazer sleeves.
3) how to deal with shirt sleeves under blazer sleeves, especially under scrunched blazer sleeves. I'm most confused about this - I feel like I'm constantly adjusting my shirt sleeves to sort of "peek" out of a scrunched sleeve, and it's a bit of a pain.

thanks!
