Instead of thinking about outfits for them, maybe you should try putting together outfits you'd wear anyway, and then just sub in these shoes. I bet they go with more than you think. That's my backwards method for new shoes, and it has worked, at least with the b/w Doc Martens. In the spring, they might work almost as a nude shoe for you, which would be super convenient, because the straps will keep them better anchored than a ballet flat (or that's what I'd love about them). </p> <p>They should be able to work with trousers, too, including jeans, assuming PPL. Skinnies would work for sure. You have some tops with a similar neutral shade that you could bookend with them.</p> <p>ETA if they are Josef Siebel, Krishnidoux and I both wore our Josef Siebel ankle booties to the Toronto meet up and these were true 10 hour on your feet shoes for me (and I think also for her). I feel like I have a handful of shoe formulas:</p> <p>knee boots + skinny jeans and pencil skirts and knee-length dresses<br /> booties + skinny and bootcut jeans and "dress" pants<br /> ballet flats + skinny jeans and skinny dress pants</p> <p>low-heeled Mary Janes + ????</p> <p>HELP! I have no idea! Thoughts?! (BTW - they are very comfortable) </p>
