Thanks jenanded! That isn't a dress though, it's an Indian kurta so I'm glad you like the blazer over it! Gives me some ideas about wearing blazers with Indian wear!

Love them both - they are really nice on you. The orange is nice with that dress from the photos and the sleeve alteration is no biggie. Love a nice blazer! and perfect on you, no buttoning required.

I love them both! The second one is absolutely such a yummy color (especially on you!) that you must at least get that one. Yes the sleeves need to come up. I have no issue with it not buttoning because I think it looks so lovely without buttoning. The first one is a lovely jacket also it's just that the second one's color is soooo spectacular!

Thanks sunita... I'm not sure if I could, I'll have to check! I don't usually button my jackets and I figure I could layer these under my trench on colder days.

Both look really good on you! The orange/coral one is a lovely color and the striped one will be easy to mix and has a shoulder that might help balance you out.

Too bad you're unable to button them...can you moved the buttons in a bit closer to the hem to give you some more room? I did that with the Smythe jacket I splurged on a few weeks ago. I like being able to button my jackets, because I get cold easily.

I like both of these on you Kirti. Not being able to button the blazer is fine as long as the fit is good everywhere else - which both of these do. I love the fit of the striped one and very on trend, and the coral colour is gorgeous on you (although yes the sleeves need shortening). I think both could be good choices for you. Now it's up to you!

I love the coral on you and see no problem wearing it unbuttoned. I love the stripes on the 1st one, but to me it looks like it can't close (the coral one does not) and therefore suggests too small. Maybe if I saw it styled it would be better since the rest of it seems to fit nicely.

Thanks for your comments! I forgot to mention that the sleeves on the orange blazer are too long, but the colour is so great that I would definitely be willing to get it altered!

Claire, Manidipa: Apart from the sleeves, is the orange one okay? I would alter the sleeves for sure.

Wow, you can't even tell that the coral blazer is knit! I think I prefer the fit of the striped on on you. The shirring at the crown of the sleeves will give you a more pronounced shoulder line while obscuring the fact that you might not fill out that part of the jacket completely. I like the color of the coral/orange blazer on you, but I think it would require tailoring the sleeves, so I'll leave that up to you. If you don't need to ever close your blazers I don't think it's a bit deal that they pull or don't button easily.

I'm loving the blue --- on-trend with the stripes and very sharp tailoring that is decidedly making the most of your hourglass frame even without buttoning.

I can see how the coral might be a lot comfier and cheerier though... And it is a good fit too, if you take up or scrunch the sleeves.

I like both.

The first one would like great over jeans. The shape and cut is so flattering.
The coral jacket is beautiful. Like Rita I rarely button jackets. The fabric looks lovely and again the cut is very flattering.

So after going to every shop in the mall yesterday I found two blazers that I liked and I would love your thoughts on them!

Blazer #1 is a cotton blazer with navy stripes. I like the fit and the poofy shoulders. I also like that the horizontal stripes are a little different. It buttons up without feeling too tight, but I think it looks like it is pulling a little.

Blazer #2 is a knit blazer that is fully lined. Again, I like the fit and the colour, which is a lot more orange than it looks. This one does not button up though.

Now I know blazers that buttoned up would be more versatile, but with my combo of narrow shoulders and large bust, I think it is pretty tough to find them. I have tried in thrift stores, online, in the mall with no luck!

If you were me, would you get either if these? Could I use them without buttoning them? And apart from the buttoning problem, are they 10s?

Thanks for helping!
