I bought the Zara boots in blue today. They are a muted blue but they are so awesome!

So if I were to get the mid-calf boots, should I get them in black as I wear black hose to keep the look of an elongated leg?

I think that you have ample leeway with the fit of slouch boots, Dawn. They can actually gape to your heart’s content. Somehow, it works.

I would go for the Zara boots in blue. You are young and now is the time to be adventurous with fashion. And blue looks fabulous with black – which I know you wear on top.

My guess is that mid-calf boots are becoming mainstream. We are seeing more and more of them each season. Yay! You can wear them with skirts and frocks, but you have to keep the variables right – like the length of your dress, colour of your hose, and heel height.

You are so cute and you have excellent taste in what works for you.
I am sure hoping mid calf boots are sticking around for a few years because I am finding them to be such a fresh alternative to knee high boots.
Both pair of boots posted look so cute for you. I LOVE the texture element to both pair!

It isn't Autumn without my yearly boot hunt... and I have actually found some nice trendy options in shoe stores already this year.

I found a pair of slouchy boots in Zara yesterday. They are quite comfortable and are available in blue and black, but I have a few questions about these. I know slouchy boots don't have to fit perfectly but is there any guide for how well they should fit, and how much of a gap there should be between my calf and the boot? Also, I really love the boots in blue but would they be a bit over the top?

I also tried on a pair of mid-calf boots in grey (photo here: http://ie.schuhstore.co.uk/ima.....7520m1.jpg ) in Schuh. Are mid calf boots around for the next while and would these boots work with skirts?

I also spotted a pair of flat ankle boots (http://ie.schuhstore.co.uk/ima.....7560m1.jpg ). I was wondering what you thought of this style?
