				<description>&#060;p&#062;An inch may just be enough. Speaking from a dressmakers viewpoint , yes the ends will be raggedy. If I was lengthening them I would put a narrow facing of ribbon around them to add a new hem and this would neaten the edges at the same time by enclosing them.&#060;br /&#062;
 So you may need someone who is handy with a needle.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Remember the Gap slim cropped pants that I tried? I went back and checked and there is about an inch of hem. If I let that out, will the length be okay? Also, I have never let a hem out before, so just wondering - won't the ends be raggedy?
