No hose at all! I love these shoes, too bad they're all sold out or I would have jumped on them.

Thanks loads. I'll get on styling them. I think I'll need advice on hems, too.

Sheers FOR SURE, Cerinda. Much prettier and dressier than black opaque.

Personally, I don't wear sheer hose with backless footwear. To my eye, it looks a lot more finished and polished when the pump has a back, if you know what I mean.

Either no hosiery or sheers, probably black.

It depends on the outfit for me: if it's an edgier piece, I may go for opaques, but I'd pair them with heavier footwear (boots, shoeties, stacked or chunky heel), not delicate pumps. If it's a more formal event or my clothing item and footwear are more delicate or classic, then I definitely opt for sheers.
ETA I have a preference for almost black sheers over black. Based on the fact your footwear has delicate straps, that's probably what I'd choose, though I've never worn sheer hosiery with open-back shoes so don't know if it might run more easily in the heel area.

Sheers seem more formal to me, which is what I'd wear.

Black opaques can look a bit heavy, especially with such delicate (and cute heels). I'd lean toward black or nude sheers or (depending on your style) possibly black hose with a pattern (diamonds, polka dots etc).

I'm working to put together outfits for two weddings next month, and getting ready to style and post four dresses for feedback. I'm finally recognizing what an impact current footwear has, so I think I've nailed that (one is outdoors, so no real heels), but when it comes to hose, I'm clueless.

The dresses are all solid --ink, pewter, black and black-- and various near-knee lengths; shoes in finds below. For a while there, I thought black opaques with black pumps looked fresh for evening; now I'm not so sure. Are we trending back to sheers? Black, almost black, or nude? What looks most current for after 5 semi-formal? Photos based on your advice after Labor Day.

Thanks a bunch!
