Yes, I see what you mean. Makes totally sense. And the thing with the shape of my brows isn't ideal either, from what I can see.

I really like the color combo here, too. Although the orange probably isn't best for my skin tone. I still remember that I didn't like the black or really dark frames back then either. Blue sounds good!

Great! Thank you :)

You need specs that LIFT the face. These frames droop a little on the sides - which is the opposite of lifting. Does that make sense?

Plastic is great and so is the colour combo here. Try a blue too. No black! Nothing too hard. Keep the inside light to match your skin tone.

I will take that to heart!

I actually found the old pic that I took when I had them new in 2007 on my laptop. The second pic is the best (and most recent) pic in natural light I could find. I could take another photo tommorow in daylight, if that would be better.

Astrid, specs can never look too stylish :)

I'm excited about your new frames! Think you can take a close-up photo of the ones that you have?

This is a really good question, Astrid! I recently bought glasses (I wear contacts 99% of the time and just needed a pair for back-up). Even then, I was asking myself all these questions. Glasses make such a big impact on a person's overall look. I can't wait to see what advice you get and to see which ones you end up with!

I have an appointment with the eye specialist next tuesday. I have my current specs since 2007 and have the feeling I'm not seeing all that good with them anymore, so I suppose I will be getting a prescription for some new ones. I read your post about choosing the perfect frames for your eyeglasses and it was already really helpful, so thank you!

I wear my specs fulltime and I have only ever had one pair of specs at a time. My new ones will have to last at the least three years, so I need something that doesn't look odd in the future because it's too stylish. At the same time I want to have some stylish specs. I like the ones I have now, but I wouldn't choose them again. My face changed in these four years because I gained 20 pounds and I was generally really different back then. Not to mention that I had to shop my specs in a small town with a rather narrow selection. Now I live in Berlin and I will have a much bigger assortment to choose from.

So I wanted to ask about the current styles and what's going to stay for a while. I'm fairly sure that I don't want to return to rimless specs again, but otherwise I'm really not sure what to look for.
