Have you tried the Levi's 505's? They come in women's sizes, I just bought a pair and I love them!

I got some KUT from the Kloth white denim "Catherine" BF shorts last year and I really like them a lot. They are thick enough and I like the rise which seems to be about 8". Those I sized down to an 8 from my usual (roomy) 10's.

Angie, thanks! I went to the Levi's store right now and tried the 510's on. They fit quite differently from my old ones, and the SA told me that what I have is a women's version that is discontinued. Too bad. I tried the Curve IDs, but they are not the same.

Anyone - if you have a recommendation of a Levis model that would fit somewhat like a Demi Curve, but in sturdier denim, please chime in. (Or another brand).

Yes! Those are mens sized jeans.

Levis does sometimes have unisex sizing - like the 501s in the '80s and '90s. I did not know that the 510s were also unisex sizing. I vote go for it.

Yes it does, Texstyle, thanks! Do you know if Levi's various numbers are unisex? Like 501, 510, 507, 511 and so on. Or do they sell a 510 for men, and another model 510 for women? Hope that makes sense.

I wear a size 10 in most jeans (unless they run big) and that is always a size 30" in women's Levis for me. I have several pair of Levis over the span of a couple of years so I feel like their sizing is mostly consistent. Hope that helps!

Dear Angie and Fabbers,
I have a pair of Levi's 510 that are slim, but not super skinny on me. They are my favorite jean. They are size 30", inseam 32". Normally I'll wear jeans sized 27-28". Why is it so? Is it because these are sized for men? To the point: My daughter tried these, and they fit was just perfect for her, too. When I google them, I only find jeans for men.

My main questions: Are the 510 the exact same model for men and women? Would it be safe to order them online in regards of getting a good fit?

All information is very helpful - finding the perfect jean is like searching for the holy grail. Thank you in advance!
