Great to see you sport your wonderful jackets, Frannie. #1, #2 and #4 are outstanding. #5, #6, #8 and #10 are fabulous too.

I am concerned about #3. The shoulder line is sloppy because of the way the open neckline falls. And a structured shoulder line with a strong neckline on a fitted blazer looks best on you.

#7 looks a little snug and #9 is a little neither here nor there, if you know what I mean.

If #6 is an impractical weight, pass it on too.

Your doggie in #1 is soooo cute. xo

#4 is standout fantastic. Reminds me a little bit of the long black BCBG jacket I've been wearing almost everywhere of late! (I got it at the Boston YLF meetup with Angie and a bunch of the ladies here this past spring) I am now wondering if another long, structured jacket should be in my closet.

I also love 1 and 10.

#3 does look like it is bunching -- my first thought was that it might be too snug, but maybe styling makes the difference there. I'm not sure about #5 -- I love the fuschia on you, but the cut doesn't seem fab enough for you. Not loving 7 either.

Great exercise! Isn't it enlightening to pull everything out in one category and try it on this way?

Great eye on #3 it is tailored to fit me like a glove and I had to heavy of a sweater on underneath so it isn't fitting like it should.

Interesting thoughts on #4 from people - I guess I have always thought being a curvy person that the longer length may not be my best siloutte - highly enligtenign comments.

Number 4 is sensational on you. The colour, style and length really work. If you are buying new jackets, target this length, it is the most flattering on your body.

I love tulle's suggestions & agree #4 looks fantastic on you. I'd also like to see some of the shorter jackets with a trouser style pant - ones that fall straight from the hip like the ones below

Not Angie but I do love #4 on you. It would be great if you could add another jacket in this length in a different color. I was thinking the same as tulle that it would look great with a column of color under it. Something like taupe, carmel, nutmeg (whichever color suits you). As far a purging, I agree with Deborah's picks and I am also not sure about #3. It seems to be bunching a lot on the sleeve but maybe that's just something about the picture. Happy Purging!

1 2 and 4 and 8 are fabulous!

I think the others are all fine and suit you too. I do like the white on you very much.

Frannie, there is one look among all these pictures that really stands out for me, and that is #4. I love everything about this jacket on you: the soft white color and texture; the graceful drape of the cut; the pretty asymmetrical gold zipper details; but especially the way this length elongates and trims, easing over your hips and (over a contrasting monochromatic shirt and pants combo as you are wearing it here) creating the all-important "column of color" effect. You say that you don't know how to wear this one, but clearly you do, because you look tall and elegant, even in a t-shirt & jeans! For dressier occasions, why not do just what you're doing in this photo, only amp up the luxe factor a bit: imagine a v-neck taupe jersey with fluid pants in the same shade, both made of luxurious fabrics, and a chunky, interesting gold necklace gleaming under that jacket. Add leather booties in a rich shade of brown, and if you live where Winters are cold, top everything with one of the warm, voluminous "bathrobe" coats that are so great--but overwhelming on some--this year. You can handle the volume! I suspect that layers generally are wonderful on you, especially when they are flowy, open and/or asymmetrical. I would encourage you to experiment with this jacket, and this silhouette in general, keeping a lean column of color underneath, and adding layers of interest--untied scarves, necklaces, draped collars, graceful long cardigans and jackets--on top to elongate your look and frame your pretty face.

Deborah - you are correct #12 is black but not leather. I love that you are encouraging me to by multiple black jackets in multiple fabrications.
If I sell all of my Jcrew jackets - #6 and #7 are two of four - the other two are already in the purge pile - I can most definitely get the black jacket.

Hi Frannie, I think 6, 7 and 9 need to go. I don't feel the length is your best.

#1 is fab, great shape for you.

#4 I like. I think jackets with interest really suit you :) I think wearing it over a dark column of colour would look really striking.

I am looking forward to seeing you give #12 a go. I think this will suit you. Is it black? It's not leather like the other one, so I would say there is room for both :)

the purging continues - Before YLF I have bought a lot of clothes that were not 10's I already purged a couple jackets that are part of my winter wardrobe for work

so I am asking for help what stays and what goes - so far the community has been awesome in helping me sort and figure out what looks good on me (I blew out some photos to try to show the jackets better) Also I should add I have so many jackets because at work I wear a walkie, push to talk phone and slug of keys. Toppers with pockets are crucial if my waistband is not available.

#1 picked by the YLF community as a 10
#2 just bought spent 3 hours finding this black jacket - need it to go over dresses because of all the gear I am always carrying
#3 this jacket doesn't look the best over the grey - It is navy blue and I had it tailored to fit me like a glove - looks best with a pencil skirt and the right top
#4 - I love this jacket but I don't know how to wear it
#5 - Didn't photograph well - I tried a couple times and it kept coming out splotchy - Is a scuba type material - looks best with pencil skirt and to wear closed I really need to get it to a tailor to have a back slit added - might not be the best fit - so on the fence because I love the pink
#6 - Jcrew jacket navy with white - I'm on the fence about this jacket - it is so heavy - i really can only wear in the coldest of Jan.
#7 - another Jcrew jacket - I think it needs to go - I don't know
#8 - A jacket I bought on a whim at a Cabi party that has become a fall winter workhorse - looks best with skirt or dress
#9 - black boyfriend jacket
#10 - Angie pic bomber jacket - another the community choose unanimously
#11 - last but not least jacket I have on order
#12 - As close as I will get to a moto jacket I think - tried on and looked good on me but not sure if it is to similar to jacket #1 - So a contender that is just out there.

All feedback appreciated
