It is surprising because my previous experience with Born sandals, like yours, is that they run small and are a bit stiff. I'm normally a size 10, but there was no way I would have been comfortable in their size 10. They also seemed rather narrow, my own narrow feet were hanging off the side of the sandals. But, I have not found them as comfortable as my Brulees, so if I know I will be doing a lot of walking, the Brulees are my preference. Something about them is different. The toe area is pointier and doesn't quite work with the shape of my foot. I find that as I walk, my feet tend to slide off on the outside sole, and I have to push them back into place. That probably makes no sense and I am not sure how to describe it in a better way, but it can be annoying. My foot just seems to point in a different direction than the shoe. This also causes it to be a bit unstable--I have turned my heel a few times in them.</p> <p>Since the Macadamias appear to have a much wider sole, my hunch is that they would be better.
