I wore it inside without even thinking, mostly because I was in a rush. I do have a couple of traditional collared wrap dresses. With those I usually wear a necklace on the outside. It has to be a long heavy 70s style pendant (not a more delicate style). You can sort of semi pop the collar over the necklace, which I quite like. It also can help prevent the dress gaping. But in your photos, I prefer the necklace inside the collar looks. Usually have trouble myself with wearing them any way with button front collared shirts, except short necklaces worn inside neckline.<br />These photos actually make me think <u>it depends</u>.&nbsp;Which also means it could be fun and individual to do different things, and there's not one right way for all necklaces.<br />&nbsp;Like viva's pick of the gold + white blouse, which I also think looks elegant&nbsp;in an off-hand way, &nbsp;but it seems specific to that necklace design and whether the shirt is buttoned, might not be the same with others. Outside feels more "appropriate" somehow, more conservative, more traditional.
