He is not into fashion at all but whenever he says something negative about an outfit (which happens rarely) it gives me pause.<br /> Joy, you are right about the limited wear, not warm enough for winter and too warm for other seasons.<br /> Angie, I also like the fit of the torso. I was wearing a relatively thin top and a lightweight jacket under the peacoat.<br /> Since you asked, what would adequate layering be? Personally, I would probably not wear a jacket under a pea coat. I would probably take the jacket off first. A sweater would be ok but a jacket I would remove. I like it as is if you plan to wear mid to heavy layers underneath. Think also about when you would wear a peacoat. I find that mine, which is shorter and more fitted than yours, only works on a cool fall or spring day because I cannot layer much under it and it is too short to give much warmth. I am on the last two days of the return window, I love the color and I can use a peacoat although I have several other coats, none of them peacoats. The sleeves are long but that can be altered.<br /> My husband thinks it looks too big on me. Petite sizes did not work and a smaller size was too tight. I am wearing it with a regular not too thick jacket underneath. When buttoned it pulls a little in the front, that does not happen when I wear it with a sweater.<br /> I am showing the jacket both unbottoned and buttoned.<br /> What do you think? Should I keep or return it? Do you think it looks too big on me or overwhelming perhaps?<br /> TIA for your opinions and excuse the weird facial expressions. </p>
