I think they look sleek turned up. (I'd probably wear them turned down, too, because I like that kind of cuff detail, and I like options!) I'm not sure about how on-trend they look--they have a granny-boot vibe that may or may not be "in" this year, but seems to remain popular. To me, they do look urban.

Oh, and full disclosure, I have these booties that have that turn up/turn down feature and really like them.

I had to size up a half size. But they are really comfortable.

I think they are definitely stylish, but as lisap points out, it is more so in a classic way. I wouldn't define them as edgy. I don't know where you would find comfortable alternatives, unfortunately. I haven't seen a lot of this style out. Maybe more will come in fall?

I actually love these shoes and have been trying to find something similar for myself! How does the sizing run?

I like them - not folded down though. They aren't necessarily fashion forward looking but I don't see them as stodgy, just classic/plain.

I think these are stylish, and I bought something similar in Berlin last fall and felt great in them.

I agree. I don't think they look stodgy or fashion forward but are a nice boot. Left unrolled the shaft height seems to be on trend but if you don't feel good in them, you won't wear them.

ETA: I wanted to clarify - when I said they didn't look fashion forward, I did not mean they were not fashionable but more that they were not trendy. They appear a bit more on the classic side but that isn't a bad thing if you want the rest of your outfit to take center stage.

They look stylish to me, but if your feet don't need a comfort brand and you have doubts, I'd return. I made this mistake with a pair of Born oxfords last year--wanted to fill a wardrobe hole and liked the comfort, but passed on them each time I went to wear them because they skewed too stodgy. Then a more stylish pair came along and now the Borns are on their way to resale.

Ladies -- I just got these booties, and I have some doubts. These are made of shiny and so, so soft leather -- check. They fit perfectly comfortably right out of the box, and they look good on my feet and legs -- check. They aren't crazy-expensive -- check. I'd wear them straight up (rather than folded down), which I think matches the "higher booties" style of this coming autumn. But they are a comfort brand, and I almost always choose edgy over comfortable. Do these lack the fashion-forward vibe that I need for New York and stylish European cities? If so, have you seen any comparable alternatives?
