I'm not sure about the fit of clogs specifically, but the sheepskin lining in all the Uggs I've ever owned (slipper style and bootie style) has always flattened a bit. It does sound like the 7 is too big for sure.

Thanks for the straight talking. I think I probably knew this deep down but really did love them, but hey what's the point of gorgeous shoes if I can't walk in them. Thanks again to the wisdom of YLF x

You definitely don't want them too big! You are not supposed to slip off the back. I like my Uggs to be snug even barefoot. But I also have really wide feet which helps really wedge my foot into shoes even if they are a bit roomy lengthwise. I got a 6 in the clogs, although I normally wear 5 in Uggs, because they supposedly run small, and the 6 fits me well.

It does sound like you are between sizes. I think it's okay if your foot is flush with the heel of the shoe, as long as it's not hitting and hurting when you walk. Perhaps you could have the toe area stretched? Uggs tend to mold to fit the wearer's foot, so they do take a bit of time to feel just right.

Otherwise, you may have to look for another brand. Romika makes really nice clogs as well...

ETA: With all open-back clogs, I do think you have to get used to gripping a bit with your toes!

I agree with Angie. With regular shoes you could always add an insole or a heel grip to get a better fit from a slightly loose shoe, but with clogs you're stuck. I'd wait for the perfect pair.

I'd return both sets of clogs and find a pair that fits better cause it sounds like you are in-between sizes.

Having a major panic attack as have to return one or both pairs of clogs by next week. How should they fit?
6's are snug around the toes and my heels fall flush with the end of the shoe, the 7's feel much looser and there is wiggle room for my toes and there is a little fingers width of room at the heel but they feel as though they may fly off if I'm not careful! Are they supposed to be loose in fit? Am also wondering if the sheepskin lining in the toe will flatten giving my toes more room in the 6's and making the 7's too big argghhhh help x
