Hi Guys!

Sorry for the late check-in, was really busy and didn't have a chance to stop back by. Angie, I will get hubby to take some pants photos of me this weekend and then add an update.

Thanks again for the help!

I'm a pear and I avoid babydoll style tops. I'm also petite and they are too long on me. I prefer tops with detailing near the neckline to draw the eye upwards. Scoopnecks or v necks again to elongate the neck and bring the eyes back up. Or a strong shoulder line with a blazer works well too. I avoid tops that end hitting at my widest part, the top of the thighs.

Hmmm. Maybe short sleeved blouses with volume in the sleeves (puffed or ruched or epaulets)? That would balance out your bottom half.

The last few seasons there have been so many baby-doll styles. My husband thought I looked pregnant in them too. I tried to belt them but got tired of trying to make them work. You can go nuts with all the shoulder detailing that is coming out. Have fun! I'm an inverted triangle so I have to avoid all the tops that you get to wear.

Hi Shauntelle!

It would be really helpful if you posted yourself in the trousers and jeans. That way I can make an accurate suggestion for tops.

Man, I stay away and then come back with a slew of posts, right? lol

I'm having a pretty pear dilemma... how to spot a shirt or blouse that looks nice on me. I finally have trousers and jeans that fit my bottom half, as well as a couple of skirts I really like, but I have no idea exactly what kind of tops to put with them. I tend to like v-neck or scoop neck shirts best because I think they show off my nice little collar bone (I know, a weird thing to like about yourself, but still...), but most of the shirts I have like this are really tanks or some type of t-shirt.

I'm thinking about fall and I know I'd like some dressier shirts and sweaters to wear, but I'm not even sure what direction to look really. I have a tendency to go toward baby doll type tops but my hubby recently told me they make me look pregnant! :(

what's a pretty pear to do? It's been fab wearing dresses most of the summer but I know I'd like to wear pants this fall.
