For years and years, I never wore necklaces of *any* kind because I didn't like to draw attention to my neck. </p> <p>Since going over the age of 40, I've started to get some crepeiness on my neck too - especially right at the base of it. I don't do well with chunky necklaces that are this length, though, only more delicate pendant necklaces (in my opinion). These types of chokers are hard to wear. You need a skinny, long neck. </p> <p>Chokers as you describe can come in a variety of lengths sometimes up to a few inches below the base of the neck. This is generally flattering. But body type and jewelry scale come into play. The neckline of the top is another influencing factor.
