Good quality denim should not stretch out a whole size. They need to be fairly snug. Jeans that aren't tight enough do not look good either. Hope that helps.

Hi Angie,

What is the proper size to buy in purchasing denim with 2% lycra. Does the jeans stretch out enough to purchase one size smaller? I tried on a pair of J Brand jeans in size 29 and they fit me perfectly, but I'm afraid if they stretch I'll be yanking them up for the rest of the day. Denim is so expensive these days I am afraid to make a very expensive mistake.

Thanks!
Phoebe
