				<description>&#060;p&#062;Caro, I think it is a little different from your standard australian custard tart - less yellow and milder in flavour, and  Ceit, much less rich than the portugese tarts.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I haven't made it myself, but have South African friends and it is standard fare at their gatherings!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;It's a strictly South African tart THAT I LOVE!!! One of my favourite sweets to eat in the whole wide world. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I have the best recipe and will be making melktert on Saturday for when my Papa arrives in town (I usually make two or three a year). Dana, it must have a crust. Either puff or shortcrust. I make shortcrust. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;The tert must be served cold and chilled in the fridge.
