The weather in Naples is lovely year round. I usually go there at the end of March. The days are in the upper 70s, low 80s, and the evenings are cooler. Aside from shopping, I am assuming that you will be spending a lot of time on the beach. So, of course, beach wear is most appropriate with some lovely beach cover-ups. In the evenings, I usually dress warmly. I freeze in air conditioning, and even the warm evening air seems nippy after sitting in the sun. You can get by with nice jeans and wedges, or summer dresses and skirts. But take summer-weight sweaters. I would suggest looking at the resort looks coming out at Jcrew, nordstrom, banana, etc... to get ideas.

Oh, and Naples is a bit hoity-toity. I would suggest looking nice as can be at all times unless you want to attract the glares of the local ladies.

I like to wear black with a colour PLUS a neutral, and the neutral can be as subtle as a strand of chunky cream pearls as opposed to adding a neutrally coloured garment. It's somehow a more sophisticated colour palette that way.

What's you opinion on wearing black with color? I totally stopped doing so after reading that Stacy&Clinton, Trinny&Susannah and many other stylists were opposed to it . So I just wear black with other neutrals only.
No I'm starting to wonder. While I would still never wear black with pastels or strong/primary colors, is it OK to wear it with more muted colors such as teal, eggplant etc.?

What will your weather be like while you are there, and what do you intend doing daily? These aspects have a direct impact on what to pack.

I'm traveling to Naples, Fla. at the end of February. How should I dress during the day and at night? Do people dress "summery" there all year long?
