In fairness, I barely had a chance to try them on since they arrived right before we left on vacation. I should pull them out of the trunk of my car (where they await return) and try them on again to see if I can pinpoint the cause of discomfort for me. But they are way too narrow across the ball of my foot, and sizing up would cause slippage in the heel, I'm pretty certain. The leather is stiff old school leather, so I don't think stretching will help - it's the actual shape of the shoe that's the problem for me.</p> <p>if you have the opposite of duck feet, they will work for you! Meanwhile, I get my January 12 x 12 back. </p>
