I am yet to do this, but you have to upload your photos to some internet site such as photobucket, flickr etc . that is devoted to picture sharing. And Shiny mentioned another alternative in the 'what i wore today' thread, called fabsugar. Then you can link to a specific photo from a thread.

How do you guys post links of yourselves? Is Photobucket an independent online photoalbum?

I don't know why I didn't see this thread before Angie linked it though. I usually scan thru threads in the "most recent" tab.

Wow Julia! You are impressive. It's rather close, so well done. The differences are subtle. There is a more "retro feeling" to my outfit. My flats are 80's cut-outs and the dress is more like the VS style (but the colour is right). My pearls are extremely chunky and my watch is similar to the off-white porcelain Chanel watch. Do you know which I mean? But you got the items spot on.

Kasmira posts pictures of “what she wore today”. http://www.whatiwore2day.blogspot.com/. I enjoy seeing her derive immense pleasure from her wardrobe. Loads of fun and loads of colour. She is a proud dresser and I love that.

It would be fabulous if people started posting what they wore each day onto our forum. Could be loads of fun.

I love the idea of a "What I wore today" thread, too! There's a blog I visit that is basically that--a girl who posts what she wears everyday. I don't love everything she puts on, but some of the outfits are great and give me good ideas for combining things I already have that maybe I wouldn't have thought of doing otherwise. This might be a great help to some of us on the forum. Plus, maybe the poster could ask for suggestions on how to make the outfit more stylish, so it could work both ways. I would love to find out more about what Angie wears, too.

Thank you Ana and Angie for your ideas! This helps a lot. I would've never thought of wearing a shirtdress over skinny jeans, but I'll give it a try.

Julia, that's a great idea! How would everyone feel about having a 'what I wore today' thread where we all could post our daily outfits (not every day, obviously) , we could post a pic or describe them or do a polyvore!

I am wearing my army green shirt dress right now. But mine is darker. A very dark olive actually. It sits just above my knee and is straight like a pencil skirt with belt and cargo pockets. I’m wearing it with ink blue skinny jeans, cream ballet flats, cream cami ,a funky pearl necklace and oversized silver and cream porcelain wrist watch. I’ll pop over my cream trench when we go out in a moment cause it’s still chilly in the morning.

I’m about the same height as you Tanya. 5ft 6 ish. I also wear my dress with funky brown, red and cream embroidered knee length boots and fine brown fishnet stockings. It looks great with citron, mango yellow and black too. I’ll pair it with red if I wear white jeans. It’s important to keep army green “clean”. This is my impression anyway! I personally prefer a clean streamlined look that has depth and interest which is why I wear my army dress this way. Ana makes lovely suggestions too.

Tanya, I just got a top from bluefly that is the same color green and I was thinking of wearing mine with a citron, light yellow, or red cami. Also cream or white is beautiful with this color. I have a very warm, bright coral tank that I think would look great with this color as well. I hadn't ever thought of hot pink, but it might work. I would agree that changing the belt can really change the feel of the outfit.

The safari look is very "in" right now, so I say go for it (just don't overdo it). Golden or brown gladiator sandals would look nice for summer shoes.

I have just received this shirt dress in army green:
http://www2.victoriassecret.co.....rfnbr=2667
It fits really nice ( those chest pockets do wonders for my small chest) and I like it a lot.
I'd like some ideas on how to wear it in different ways. So far I was thinking of either wearing it 'safari' style ( wooden necklace or bangles, maybe brown leather belt, not sure on the shoes) or trying to add pops of bright colors in camis, belts and shoes. Which colors would go well? So far I can think of aqua
and hot pink.
