The Amber Sun XS is at LEAST equivalent to a P4 in the shoulders and bust. I need to find a place with enough light and someone to take a photo of me to do a K/R because I am wondering if it is too loose at the hips or if I should move the buttons.

I'm sorry the boots disappeared on you so quickly. It's always hard for me to make up my mind quickly and I hate it when stuff like that happens! I hope all the other items fit nicely and please you!

KL you have been a good help to me, I have changed my selection to a 25. I will wait just a bit longer but it sounds as though you tried on the exact jeans I plan to order. I think that sometimes size disparities become bigger with every size you go up- I hope I'm making sense. I will definitely report back once I receive my order. The shipping is not bad but the duties and taxes are a bit brutal.

Aquatalia is not affiliated with Frye, as far as I know... I don't have international shipping experience, though. I have semi-athletic thighs and was worried about Paige's reputation for narrow thighs, but it wasn't a problem at all for me. If you're narrow-hipped and don't have large thighs, I don't think you should need to size up. The waist is super comfortable and contours in the back (I can see why it might run large for those with a smaller waist). FWIW, I'm a petite rectangle with apple tendencies and it sounds like I'm a size larger than you. Perhaps others will chime in on what fit issues led them to size up.

Sorry to bear bad news but they will not ship Frye boots to Canada. Frye also won't ship to Canada and will not ship to a post box. Amazon will however and sometimes they have a great sale. In Canada, Softmoc carries some Fryes so you could try for size and then shop around.

KL, I am a slim hourglass, I also have narrow hips and a bit of curve to my bottom. I do not carry extra weight in my thighs either but I just don't want these to be too tight, but I also really dislike saggy pants. I am hoping these can be a 'dressier' jean for me. I do not usually spend this much on jeans.. I gather that these hold their shape and do not become baggy with wear so I want to make sure I get them big enough. My Gap jeans are all 25's, several of the more generously cut casual pants I've bought there are 24's. Sizing is so inconsistent these days it's very hard to know what size you are anymore:( Thanks for the extra info, I appreciate your help.

Sveta - I am talking about the Paige Hidden Hills in the NAS (my friend and I both tried them on just this weekend at Nordstrom and she was considering buying them, so I know they were definitely NAS-priced). I'm narrow-hipped with a curvy butt and very little waist definition; my friend is a slim, athletic hourglass. She actually started with the 27 and had to size down to the 26 (I'm not sure what her usual size is in bottoms). I started with my usual 26 and found it to fit well, although the rise was too high for me. I also took a 26 in the Paige Skyline Skinny in gray (also NAS).

Tina - what is your body type? That might help you resolve conflicting size advice.

Thanks Janet! I was already second guessing that skirt as well. I may order the red suede bootie if the black leather doesn't come back in stock. I really love those as well but I know they wouldn't be as versatile.

The mixed media skirt is pretty TTS. I typically wear skirts in the size 6-8 range, and I got it in an 8. There's plenty of stretch in it too.

Thanks for the sizing info. I am a bit nervous about sizing because I have never worn these brands or even had a chance to try them on.
Cciele, thanks for the jacket comparison. I am an XS in BR clothing, do you think this brand compares?
KL, thanks for chiming in about the jeans. Do you have these particular jeans? I have read they run a bit small.
Sveta, yes I know you understand the whole Canadian complication. I always follow your threads. Love your style!
Lisa, I appreciate the validation on the VC tops. Can't wait to see you model yours.

I will wait a short while to see if the boots will come back in, it seems the sizes come and go quickly.

KL, are you talking about this particular jeans in Hidden Hills? They do run small comparing to my Hidden Hills bootcuts - fit me like jeggings rather than straight legs or skinnies. I definitely recommend to size up in them.
Tina, good luck with your order! As a fellow Canadian I know only all too well how much hassle this international shipping is. I hope everything you order fits well!

I think the xs amber sun would work well for you. I'm 5'3" with broadish shoulders and wide rib cage and I got the small. The xs was too tight in the shoulders but was wearable otherwise.

Thanks so much Donna! I will wait to hear, unless the boots come back in stock. I will place my order immediately if they do. I will rethink the blazer. I am not a size 4 anymore, I used to be before they started making everything bigger. I am very proportioned, my shoulders are not big for my frame nor are they small.

Hi, Tina;
I've found Vince Camuto runs pretty TTS (true to size). I just bought the same top in PS; last season I bought the same style but sleeveless in PXS and decided the shoulders looked too small so I returned it. I am a P4 on top; sometimes a P2 and never a P6. This means that sometimes PS tops are a bit big in the shoulders on me. This top is fine. I have narrowish shoulders, full (32D/DD) bust, fat arms, and back fat befitting a woman in her late 50s.

FWIW, the VC red blazer fits me well in P4. The VC size chart is off so I mis-ordered the matching pants thinking their bottoms are cut really big. Not.

So sad that the Amber Sun jacket isn't carried in Petite sizes because they apparently make Petite clothes. I would think that their XS jacket is closer to most P4s, esp. according to their size charts. I have to make a trip to Nordstrom's on Monday to return the VC pants I ordered online. I will see if I can find the AS jacket to try on and will report back.

I have never shopped Nordstrom but all of your purchases have me sorely tempted, not to mention blog posts that give me way too many ideas! I live in Canada so I have to be careful with my selections. I am wondering if you fab ladies would help me out, please?!
After seeing the Aquatalia booties on Phoebe I was smitten and started stalking them, imagine my delight when they came back in stock! I immediately added them to my bag. However, I wanted to add some more items before placing my order, plus check with you ladies on sizing details ( you are better judges than the online help). When I checked back they were sold out and I am sad:( I want to wait but I fear other things selling out while I do, such a quandary:(
Angie's blog posts of her clients are so helpful, or not if you're trying to refrain from shopping. I am not computer savvy and do not know how to post links. I will refer to my choices by listing who is wearing them.

1. The Aquatalia booties in Black leather in size 6 (my usual size) Phoebe modeled these
2. Classiques Entier Sunmosa Mixed Media skirt size 0. Phoebe modeled this as well.
3. Vince Camuto Bandage top in teal/black stripe. Meredith modeled this one in red.
I have an XSP in my bag, not sure if this is the correct size for me.
4. Amber Sun Double Breasted jacket in teal in size XS. Bei-Jing modeled this one.
5. The Paige Hidden Hills straight leg jeans that Mama Pickle Juice modeled so well.
I have chosen the 26, that is one up from my usual size, will this be enough?

I will list my measurements in hopes that someone with a similar build will chime in and enlighten me as to sizing choices.
Height 5'3" ( just over)
Bust 33"
Waist 25.5"
Hips 33 3/4"

Thank you all in advance. Your help is greatly appreciated.
