It seems North Americans enjoy them more than Australians, as the only place I ever see them here, is very occasionally on the golf course. Come to think of it I didn't see plaid pants in Italy, France or Germany when we were there earlier this year either. I do like Angie's yellow plaid pants ....they are unique, fun and flattering....and Sveta looks good in hers as she is so tall, but they are the exception for me unless the plaid is very subtle and small. I have been pleasantly surprised at how well they work with my wardrobe and how versatile they are.</p> <p>Like Sarah mentions, the last thing I need is a high contrast pattern on my big thighs, but if I keep the plaid dark and low-contrast and the fit is not tight, I can get away with it. I would love to wear bold plaid pants, but it's just not a great look on me. I looked for those dark Kut ones that Suz has, but they are apparently gone from retail, as are the Jolts. As popular as plaid is right now, I'm a little surprised we're not seeing more out there. I had said earlier that I was looking for bl/ wh glen plaid and black watch trousers. Well, I found the glen plaid with a slightly flared leg and the tartan is not bl. Watch, they call it princess mary but it has the black watch colors plus red and royal blue. They have a slim leg. I know they'll fit because I have other Pendletons. I'm not sure what the glen plaid will go with, ( everything!) I have an outfit in mind for the tartan pants, black cashmere t neck, black velvet blazer, and black suede cole haan smoking slippers with royal piping around the edge.
