You just have to look for what works for you.<br />I wear them either tight or loose but with a soft fabric, so it has a drape and flow. I don't like boxy voluminous crop tops because I have big boobs and I don't like how they look on me, on someone medium or small chested it might work but I like to keep a balance between my top and bottom half.
