Special colors that were popular for a few years are much harder to coordinate with.&nbsp; (Example? Orchid. Bright, saturated, both pink and purple and really not either. Very few actual pinks or purples will play nicely with it.) Those colors tend to dominate a given outfit, and everything else works together around them.
