Seeing this in the queue, I’m still tempted to reply with the thought I had when I first saw it “as opposed to a binder? No, I’m a stapler”. Teehee.

I do NOT fold underwear. I DO fold socks, sweaters, jeans, leggings, scarves (which are hanging on a ladder style rack, all folded neatly), workout gear, sleep/lounge wear...

DH has a habit of riffling through his drawers of work trees and sweatshirts, looking for something specific, and leaving it all in a jumble and shoving the drawer closed. After he has done this for a while, nothing else will fit in there and he throws a fit because nothing will fit, and I have to go in there and take everything out, fold it, replace it in the drawer, and watch the cycle begin anew. I still fold his clothes, but I refuse to put them away because the jumble infuriates me to no end.

I have been trying to Kondo fold in my drawers. The fact of the matter is that I just lack the patience for it. My drawers are small, and I end up taking out stuff to find a certain item... usually when I’m rushing in the morning. Therefore, it doesn’t get put back neatly.

100% folder. Marie kondo changed my life. And yes I fold undies and socks.

And dust rags! And put the newly folded ones on the bottom of the stack so they get used evenly!

My husband also kon Mari folds. My daughter theoretically does but mostly just keeps her clean laundry in a pile on her bedroom floor. Oh well — not a battle I’m going to fight! Plus, you know, I have previously confessed to having a “bedpost pile,” so she comes by the tendency honestly.

Hanger and folder for sure. Socks are grouped. Shapers, nylons and workout gear are rolled.

I’m finding the more time I spend properly folding and hanging, the more likely I am to wear the clothes I have. Less aimless shopping as I can see that the sweater shelf/sock drawer/closet rack is full!

Definitely a folder. I fold socks but not underwear - I stack them neatly in the drawer. Yes, they get messy but it's quick and easy to fix. I taught my kids to roll their shirts and since then they keep their drawers surprisingly neat

FOLDER HERE! Even my underwear. I was also not a huge fan of Marie Kondo's book, but *did* steal some folding tips.

My kids, on the other hand, will bring up a basket of clean laundry that they are ostensibly supposed to fold/hang and put away ... and then I find them living out of that basket, clothes in a jumble and them looking like they rolled out of bed fully dressed every day.

As a result, I associate NOT folding clothes as a serious lack of maturity. :)

P.S. And all my cleaning cloths and rags are folded, too!!!

I don’t know if I can set a sweater down without folding it loosely, lol. It drives me nuts that my son will pull out a T-shirt, consider wearing it, then go for another or take off his pants at the end of the day. He doesn’t fold the clean shirt or still-wearable pants. They get all wrinkled and have to go through the laundry (or at least the dryer) for the stupid reason that he didn’t shake them out/ smooth them.

I can’t imagine not folding socks—how would they stay in pairs?

The only things I prefer not to fold are bras & panties. I’d much rather have a drawer can toss my drawers into loosely. At the moment, I don’t have that much space, so my undies are stacked neatly. Most of my bras have usually been worn and are hanging out in my clirty (neither clean nor dirty) space.

We have a flipfold, but I rarely use it. Son will use it if/when I force him to (but it’s a smaller size, so if he’s going to use one regularly, he needs a new one). When he was 10, he thought it was nifty and loved being able to fold things. At 17, the thrill is gone. It was great for folding a bunch of shirts precisely for storage, but I can’t see using it in my daily life.

Besides folding, I also have sorting mania. Not enough that I ever got my son’s LEGO sorted like TG, but I have enough tights for two compartments of the hanging thingy where I keep them, so they are separated into with or without feet. My sweaters are spread over 3 shelves: cardigans, T-necks, and other sweaters. And so on.

Folder, and newly converted to a quasi-Kondo style. My husband hates it and deliberately tosses everything in the drawers, but now I am compelled to fix them. I just fixed my scarf drawer which was a mess. Scarves are hard to contain. Also the drawer is above my eye level and it's shallow. I've been obsessing recently about a shared drawer in our bathroom which has become a catch all for lids without containers and other junk. I lined up the dental floss - 7 containers! Every time I open the drawer I line them all up again....it's absurd how much waste messy drawers cause. You can't see stuff, so you buy it again.

Funny - that plastic folding contraption? My son who is at a military academy recently sent me a video of one of his classmates using it. I thought it was awesome!

Fun reading! Does this say anything about the folders or unfolders personality traits? My wovens are mostly on hangers. The knits are folded (but seldom neatly). I have recently learned that any polyester or stretchy cotton also can survive a good stuffing without creasing. My socks drawer is a colorful bundle of pairs!

I fold everything that goes in a drawer, including socks, tights, underwear. Scarves also get folded, because that's what works for my space. That said, I wish I could hang more items, since even with careful folding, I'm not happy with the inevitable creases and wrinkles in my knit tops.

I have recently converted to the Kondo fold for knit tops and undies. Sweaters and workout gear are usually rolled, as are socks and PJs. I hang all my jeans and pants, as well as woven tops and any dresses or blazers. And everything hung is in color order within each category, light to dark.

I’m with NancyW, I like doing laundry and find the process of creating order from chaos satisfying. Honestly, my mind is a little blown that any adult regularly just stuffs clean clothes somewhere, but I’m sure my lack of enthusiasm for vacuuming would horrify some folks out there.
