I think it’s a matter of how well you can move in them, including how well they fit. The first time I wore mine, to mine son’s graduation, we walked 1.3 miles up Pichelsberg, which deserves the name (“Berg” being “mountain” or “big hill”) after the ceremony, to the subway station. Stairs were involved.
