Glad to hear you have a pair on your way. I honestly can't comment on the frumpy factor bc IMHO I have to see it on the foot. I have a pair of the most comfortable sandals in the world (for me), of course the brand escapes me now, which look a bit frumpy not on the foot. But they aren't bad on. And the comfort factor trumps everything. I got mine at the local Ronson rack shop. This type of search is so tough online as a Canadian.
