They are cut slimmer through the leg, but for some body shapes, that's what looks best. I think midi skirts and these types of pants need similar types of footwear. I was actually thinking culottes (or wide cropped pants) would be useful in the classroom for getting down on the floor with the kids and not flashing them! They might not be full culottes, but they certainly fall into the general category. I agree with Sveta that they could work with the bootie if the length of them was flattering to the wearer. These booties are better with skirts than most due to the V in front. I wear my Munros with midi skirts and they work even on short -legged me.
