Shoes seem to be such an individual thing, I always hesitate to comment on them.

Are they comfortable? Do they make you happy? Do they match your wardrobe and your lifestyle? If so, buy them, since you've already established the need. The style is not juvenile in and of itself, so there's no reason you shouldn't wear them just because the kids are.

I think I'd go for something without the fringe/suede vibe - something more like a true loafer but a comfort one.

I'm trying more of a "boat" shoe. Keen. Not sure if it's going to work but I am over the "mary jane" and similar style and true loafers are often not really all that comfortable for someone who walks a lot and on rough terrain (rocky roads, etc.).

Glory, I will say that I do see those on the kids who attend my high school. That being said, I wonder if you could wear them with dark denim skinnies? They are definitely a hip and casual flat shoe!

Hmmm. I love the idea of a fun flat, but since you mention it these do remind me of coeds since I see them all the time on college students in my university town :). What about a leather loafer? Do you live in a colder climate where you would want a higher vamp for the cold months?

Hello everyone, I am still working on trying to add some shoes. I have read Sveta's thread and it was so excellent. It made me realize that footwear is a huge gap for me. I returned all the ones I have tried to date. I plan to add several pairs as I have only fryes and 2 black ankle boots left (other than sandals). I have a lot of work to do but hope to get a couple of pairs this week that will work to jazz up my wardrobe. I am seeing more and more of this loafer/moccasin - what do people think of this as a MOTG option. Too much like a slipper? A trend for High School? I am hoping to add: flats, loafer, mid height boot. I am not going to allow myself to purchase any black footwear. All advice gratefully accepted.
