I couldn't say if they look cool or not but as a very nearsighted person who had to start wearing thick lensed glasses when I was eight (and chubby) they do look like the wearer can't need much of a correction, so that's nice.
The only look I'm really tired of is the heavy black plastic frames. It was only interesting as a statement for a couple of days and then it became a wave that wouldn't go away.

Generally not a fan of rimless specs because they often look aging and dated.

The red temples do make these look a little more modern though. AND I've seen very edgy and gothic styles wear them with panache. But these examples are extreme, so my suggestion is to stay away from them.

I had a pair, and they broke they were Silhouette brand , they broke as I pulled into my garage! Luckily not as I was driving.

I also think they are aging, if you are in the 40- 50 range they can make you look older. But they are very light to wear

Would not rebuy

I have had them and they were the most comfortable glasses I ever wore because they were so light weight. But if you take your glasses on and off a lot they are fragile, they can chip from being placed on a table, counter etc. I wore mine all day so that was not an issue.

I'd they they are classic, not cool. You look/feel less like you are wearing glasses than with full frames. Your eyes show well, they do not distract. But full framed plastic or metal frames are more "in fashion".

I have some, from a few years ago. I don't wear them much because, well, I don't wear my glasses much but I really like having them as an option, because they don't compete with jewellery. My bolder glasses are statements in themselves, so I pare down the accessories. They are super comfortable though - so light!

I don't think there can be a blanket answer to this (yes they're cool vs no they're not). It depends on the particular design and on a person's features. To my eye, they can look very cool and even high tech, but an oval shape can look less current. If you like them on you--they're cool.

I have a love hate with them. I tried them a few years ago because I think they have a cool edge to them. However, I found that the bags under my eyes seemed to be more prominent.

I wore them for years. I still like them. They can be expensive if you get a high quality design. I plan to replace mine with my new prescription when I can afford them, but I like my new frames also. They are a more delicate look for me, and they definitely showcase my eyes which are one of my best features. However, I think you can still do that with the right pair of frames. All of my new frames seem to make my eyes stand out.

For me I love my rimless glasses, I have wanted them for years and only recently found a pair that I truly love. I think with the right "frames" and lens shape anyone can look cool in them.

I don't know how "cool" they are, but I like mine. If I had to choose between flattering and cool, I'd go with flattering every time. Do you want your audience to think "She looks lovely" or "She has cool glasses"?

I totally want a pair myself now after seeing a tenor performing a concert wearing a pair of rimless/frameless glasses. You could really see his face/eyes/expressions without having them hidden by glasses. Glasses can be a great accessory but they can also be distracting.

I don't tend to think they are cool, but my husband likes them on me because they allow my face to make the main impression rather than my glasses. I like them for many situations, but to feel "cooler" I would like something else.

I had a pair a few years ago and really liked them as my eyes did show more. I think it depends on the overall look you're going for - do you want your glasses to not be the feature on your face so that more of YOU shows, or do you want glasses to be a style statement?

I think they can look cool, although they look terrible on me personally because my features are not strong enough to handle it. Anyway, I think it is a hard look to pull off - you have to have striking, strong features IMO to wear frameless specs well.

Also, a warning. If you, like me, have a prescription that is noticeably asymmetrical, i.e. the lenses are thicker for one eye than the other, this will be glaringly obvious with rimless specs. I actually really like the look of the top-rim-only specs a lot but I can't wear them for this reason.

I'm sorry. I don't think they look cool. I think the look is dated, unless it is an essential part of a quirky, unique look like e.'s friend.

And personally, I think it looks a bit silly... I wear glasses and if I didn't need to, I wouldn't! But that is me, and maybe because I am old.

I think they can look really good. Most of the people I have seen wearing them are in the public eye, like newsreaders and politicians. I don't know anyone with rimless glasses. I have flirted with the idea but haven't gone there yet. I would love to know what Angie thinks:)

I had a pair of rimless glasses back in the 00's. I remember not wanting to ever buy them again and switched back to rims next time around because they had a weak point where the ear bit attatched to the lense and it was constantly becoming loose. I was always having to tighten the screws.

I have one friend who rocks the frameless glasses like no one I've seen, and yes, they absolutely look cool on him. But that's the thing: he's a guy. A small, delicate- featured Asian guy. I have no idea what you look like, but I doubt you look like him. Having said that, it's entirely possible that frameless glasses look devastatingly cool on you, too. Can you post a picture so we can see?

Still slowly looking for a new pair of frames. I am currently wearing black rayban style. Want something 'different'. I wear them much of the day for reading etc etc. I was casually looking at a range of size/shapes colours of more plastic frame glasses. When the wonderful woman said have you considered the tag heuer frameless... She looked great in hers blending in so well. There are some fun colour sides - I suspect I will play with red or blue my favourite colours... Sorry I dont have photos with them on but what do you think of the idea. I did like them on me...
