And the material is a bit thin, I don't think they will last inthe long run. #5 is a bit on the gray side and rather equestrian in style, I'm not sure that will work for your style. I think #6 is too dark and anytime you would reach for #6 you could wear a black pair instead. </p> <p>In general, all of these are darker in person than the online photo (and I think #2 or #4 will bookend your hair nicely and be the most versatile). I was very impressed for a $70 boot, thought it was very pretty and fit nicely. It sounds like you may need replacement pair for your favorite cognacs before they wear out too much more. Better to have a couple in rotation and then still wear the older boots before they are completely worn out.</p> <p>I like the color of 6 and the idea of that style but not how thin-soled it is. Something similar to it with a heavier sole and heel would be better (especially in Canada). I have a pair of dark brown knee boots (that I can't wear this past year b/c I have gained weight) that I wore more often than my black pair.
