Thanks guys! I think I'll keep it.

But, the kind of A-line jacket I was refereeing to is a blazer that sort of flares out from the bust. The best example I could fine online ...

http://www.venus.com/viewprodu.....e%20blazer

That said, about the trench you linked, I have one like that too XD That one I love and would not give up if somebody offered to pay me for it. It's fantastic.

http://www.polyvore.com/double.....d=31338372

My trench-coat looks a lot like this. I LOVE it, and it's only two years old. A very honest friend of mine told me she didn't like that it had a skirt, but then she's a very sporty, feminine-masculine girl, so she doesn't like that sort of styles. Most people have complimented me on the trench though, because it does suit my body. Do not let it go!

These lovely ladies advised me that it's ok to stick with a silhouette you love... If you love the jacket and it works for you, I'd say KEEP IT!

I purchased a a-line jacket in outlet store recently. I actually owned that particular jacket but gave it away. It's only when it's gone that I realized how much I missed it - even when it's not my typical silhouette. I lucked out finding it!

If you love it, keep it. Even if you don't wear it a lot this year, it is a classic/retro silhouette that will return every now and then, don't you think? Deborah's suggestion about changing the button is very good. That might do the trick.

Personally, I would hold onto it. A line jackets always have a slight retro vibe to my eye. Things like buttons can always be changed for an update. If it fits and flatters you and you love it I say keep. I suppose you should also ask if it is in line with your current style goals?

I remember a few years ago A-line jackets were a thing.

I'm doing my closet purge/review/general wrestling/inventory, and I found my A-line jacket. I loved it. Are they still acceptable, or are they at that weird moment when they're exactly out of fashion enough to actually be out of fashion rather than to be cool again.

Ha

Mine's black, and it's got delightful oversized buttons and it flatters me.

My question is, considering that it's a good item for me, should I hold on to it or toss it?
