I didn't buy as I have a very similar pair by Via Spiga. My calves at their widest are 13 inches and these boots fit me, they weren't tight I could certainly have fit a jean in them. I purchased a pair of Blondo OTK boots that I am now wondering if I am too old to wear ! GORGEOUS! It gets even better - 398.00 CDN (pre tax) - so better price here for our dollar. I am 12.75-13" calf diameter, shorter legs, long torso . I did find them a little roomy around the back of the ankle - but am going to try them on with winter weight socks. My current black boots have a 2 inch heel and are snug at the ankle so a different style. It's a <b>great</b> style, and I love it -- it works for wearing with skirts and cropped pants -- but it's not as good with tucked in slim pants.&nbsp;</p> <p>Ideally, I'd be trying both on and comparing before ordering up a storm. For some people, with these stretchy boots -- the width of their calf helps take care of some of the length, if that makes sense. The stretching that the boot does makes it snugger and thus a tad shorter. But my calves are also not wide. So the boot won't stretch much, if at all -- which means it will be at its full height on my leg. We saw the difference a few years ago when both Shannon and Kellygirl ordered the same Blondo stretch boot. Both are petite -- but the boot worked brilliantly on Shannon and not so well on Kelly. It wasn't just the length of their calves. My shoe size is 6.5/ 7. &nbsp;I typically order a 7 in boots to accommodate a thicker sock.&nbsp; </p>
