I've retired 11 items so far this year.</p> <p>In May, I will definitely need to add a pair of non-skinny jeans, as my last pair of boyfriend jeans is almost shot. There's a pair from Madewell's eco line that I'm hoping will work out. I'm also budgeting for a couple of items from a couple of small, ethical brands I've been following--I have my eye on a pair of clogs, and some easy cotton or linen pull-on pants.</p> <p>More in-depth numbers geeking ahead. You can safely stop here and just look at the photos if you're not into the nitty gritty stats.</p> <p>-----</p> <p>The items I retired ranged between 13 and 124 wears, with the median being 51. 73% were over the 30-wear threshold. My goal is to get this number over 90%. I think this is possible, as almost 40% of my current working wardrobe is sitting at over 30 wears, so those items will eventually reach the end of their lives as well-worn favorites. I am definitely getting better at wearing my clothes more and making fewer purchasing mistakes.</p> <p>Not counting the lounge/sleep pants, the items I purchased so far in 2019 have been worn between 2 and 20 times. The most worn item is my Bed Stu boots. Least worn is a tie between the new Boden dress (not enough warm days yet) and the rust velvet scarf (going to make a conscious effort to wear it more, but it might come out more come fall).</p>
