I’m not usually a big fan of the sneakers + dress look, but that outfit works really well. I’m trying to figure out how to style the pieces of a 3-piece “ladies who lunch” linen suit that’s the same pink as you’re wearing in #4 &amp; might try some of your ideas. I’ve never been mugged—sounds scary &amp; I’m glad your husband and son weren’t harmed in the pursuit. I don’t know how big a bag you need, but I find I can pack a surprising amount into this small one (I can zip an iphone SE or 12 mini into the outside pocket) &amp; it is well made. On breaking our own rules—I’ve bent mine pretty severely this year, buying things that weren’t on my list. But they are undergarments that I think I needed—it’s been years—and I stuck with European merchants (even though I’m not entirely sure about their claims of sustainable production).
