Staying flexible. I found this challenge very useful. And Angie is also right, I am very low on comfortable bottoms. I discovered that I am currently not feeling most of my wardrobe and that I would rather constantly repeat few items that I love than wear items that I don’t just for the sake of variety. </p> <p>Jamie - how interesting! Organization where I work is trying to have more gender balance but have difficulty finding female candidates. Is this a specific STEM initiative, or just Take Your Daughter to Work in general? I know three women off the top of my head who did STEM--my mother almost got her PhD in econ, my cousin majored in computer science, and a friend did bioengineering. All these women naturally gravitated towards it. I'm actually ignorant to the reasons to bring more women into STEM. Is it to get more women high-paying jobs? To bring more diversity of life experience into these fields? The white top and snakes+ the lightly textured and lighter shade blazer do make a great difference for freshenning up a darker work outfit!<br />FYI I started in STEM, too:-)--didn't know what exactly to do at that time (finished high school in 1986) but have always been good in exact sciences-and decided only in the last year what college to go--got an&nbsp; MS but unfortunately never worked in my choosen field (mechatronics)---then later did 2yrs postgraduate for an MA&nbsp; in economy- so here I am still doing good enough for this very very&nbsp; hard living times.&nbsp;<br />Our&nbsp;DD(26) at 17yrs didn't know either&nbsp; decided in her last year of the high school only-started with a BS in psychology but then, she was very prompt on switching to medical school (she did have to apply again and&nbsp; pass&nbsp; a completely other kind of admission exam) -so started her freshman year 3 yrs older than her peers- and is now in her last but one year at the university (medical school is 6yrs- here). She chose Food Technology and is now 30 having done a 4-year degree, worked for 8 years, and is now doing a Masters in the same field. I have very busy and long 12+ hours work day in front of me, I just want to wear something comfortable. And being that time of month I also don’t feel like wearing light color bottoms. So very strechy ponte navy pants it is.<br /> It is also bring your daughter to work day, it is initiative to make girls more interested in STEM, especially robotics and nuclear field. Will see how that goes LOL, she still has not decided what she will study, 2 more years to go before university. </p>
