Without pictures it is hard to say, but I can't visualize a cardigan working unless you are going for very bohemian almost sloppy look. I love the look of a short dress like this layered over skinny jeans or leggings too. My immediate reaction is that the dress is so unusual that it would not work well with a topper of any sort.</p> <p>I like the idea of pairing it with Cons and also dark booties, as in the picture. I think you could also accessorize it with a statement necklace (pendant style). I've worn it with white converse and a black cardigan about hip length. I wear a black slip underneath it considering it's somewhat see-through. If you can picture it, does that look okay?
