Dress in the most appropriate clothing you have, and then don't worry about it. When my father died unexpectedly, I had flown in to see him and had not packed a black dress because I didn't know he was going to pass away. I wore a black sweater and black pants to the funeral because it was the only clothing I had with me. His funeral was in our home church, so I knew a dress would have been much better, but I did the best I could with what I had. Everyone understood, as I'm sure your family and friends will.
