I don't know what they were thinking with that model; maybe they put her in a huge size or something? But back to the other question. The elastic drop waist is part of both the underlayer and the mesh layer, so that there will always be the designed amount of mesh overlayer of the skirt extending below the underlayer. I pretty much had given up on dresses, and had been working with separates. Then along comes ASOS, and I'm set until it wears out. (Maybe I should buy a duplicate.) If I am even five pounds over my preferred weight, I carry it around my abdomen. Right now I'm about 10 over my preferred, and *the extra weight is invisible*! I have a couple events coming up, and I'm super excited and no longer anxious about finding a rent the runway alternative. Wanted to share with those also seeking their dream dress. </p> <p>p.s. I have a pretty casual lifestyle, but this dress being black could easily pass for dressy, for those of you who have a more formal look.&nbsp; </p>
