Boden has a lot of prints that I'd consider preppy: bright stripes and florals, lots of primary colors. Forum member Christina F. has a lot from there and rocks them!

I was also going to suggest Talbots. And don’t overlook LLbean...plaid shirts, Oxford button downs, flannels
and preppy sweaters are in there DNA.

Sweaters with welted waists. Twin sets. Pants with a different cut. Do you ever go to Talbots?

Hi Donna, have you tried semi-tucking your tops, to get the tucked effect with a full tuck? You could tuck on the side even, for more tummy coverage.

Hi Donna. I love a structured shift on your body type. J.Crew and Banana Republic often have this sort of thing for “work wear” but if they are simple enough, they’re easy to dress down and sometimes they can even be machine washed. A woven, lined fabric is nice because it won’t cling. Shift dresses are usually sleeveless or shortsleeved and cut above the knee so you can’t show off your limbs while glossing over your tummy.

I am a size 12 but my lower belly is my biggest problem. I really can’t wear anything tucked into my jeans or pants. My fav store is J Crew but lately every top I look at is either cropped or doesn’t look good without being tucked in. Any apple ladies out there who like a more preppy look? Where do you shop? And what do you wear fro hide a larger tummy when everything else is not bad?
