One question to myself is starting to help me avoid this, though. Where will I be wearing it? It never really dawned on me before to think situation specific when shopping. I could picture what other colors or fabrics in my closet I could team something with, but I never got the heart of where the heck will I find myself wearing it and why? What will I be doing, etc? Ends up 90% of my situations right now are running errands, shopping and other casual outings. The other 10% is going out to lunch or dinner at non formal establishments, so perhaps smart casual or for the rare occasion, dressy. Then I have my workout and running gear portion of my day and loungewear in the house. That's the reality of my life right now. I pictured it with a black angora sweater (long sleeves and high-necked, but low in the back), and a pair of black suede platform stillettos. I finally succumbed - I needed that skirt, and didn't want anyone else to have it!</p> <p>Who was I kidding? I'm just not a sequin kind of gal, and that's the bottom line.
