April, I don't think I have done a straight swap yet, except at the YLF convention. I think it was decided that if it's a straight swap, no one owes anyone. If not, then it's just a matter of shipping reimbursement. Unless you're swapping with someone who wears the same size or has something in the wrong size for them, straight swaps usually don't work.

If you want to go through your accessories and show me what you have, that's fine, but we do not have to do a straight swap.

Send me your address and I'll get them out to you. mayaylf at yahoo.com

Sure, Maya, and thank you -- but what can I send in return? Since sizing is tricky, maybe an accessory? I don't have a strong sense of your accessory taste, but surely there is a thread somewhere where you talked about it -- I'll look.

They do stretch, but they are not soft. I don't know if I'm explaining this well. But it sounds like they might not be for you since they are a bit bigger than your jeans. I imagine they would relax after wearing them for a little while.

April, are you still interested?

Thanks, Maya.

Hmmmm. Hard one. I like denim to be SOFT and a little stretchy. I’ve just measured my rigid Diesels and they’re smaller than the measurements you’ve provided. If that is at ALL possible? It sounds counter intuitive.

Okay April, I hope they work out for you. I guess I’m a premium denim gal too.

Brianna, the seller did not describe them as Very Stretch in the description. I just made the assumption that they were because I didn't realize the same exact jeans existed in a non-stretch version, so it's my fault.

Oddly the fabric content is the same as what is listed on the Karmaloop website, which is selling the Very Stretch jeans.

They definitely aren't like yours at all though, based on your description. It's quite confusing.

Sorry they didn't work for you, Maya. I suspect they are actually NOT the Very Stretch One Wash jean, based on your description. The ones I have run big (I have a 31" waist and took a 29 in these--and I have large thighs and a very generous butt), are made of a very soft, thin, lightweight denim, and are super duper stretchy. They're like wearing leggings, almost. I wonder if you got gypped somehow?

Angie and April, here are the measurements:

The waistband going straight across is 13.25"
The rise is 10"
The thigh (measured from the crotch seam across the leg) is 9"

If there are any other measurements you need, ask away. I forgot to measure the leg opening, but they are definitely skinny ankle-hugging jeans. No more than 11 inches.

Angie, I hesitate to confidently say whether or not you would like them so I will just tell you the basics and you can determine:

• The rise is high, so you'll get the girdling effect (not that you need it), and no bottom cleavage...though I guess you will see that as a negative ;)

• The wash is dark and even throughout. No distressing or fading.

• I don't know if you have ever seen the back label for Cheap Monday jeans, but they have a skull on them. I don't know how you feel about wearing skulls, though it can't be seen unless you tuck your shirt in.

• I won't lie about this: they are not soft. Maybe I have just gotten too used to premium denim, but they feel quite rigid to me. I'd classify it as a medium weight, though I'm certainly no expert.

Angie, if you decide they sound like something you would want to try, I will send them to you since you were first to reply. If not, I'll send them to April. And if they don't work out for whatever reason, you can send them to April. Does that work?

April, I don't know if this is really a good representation of the traveling pants idea. I thought they were supposed to always fit the wearer perfectly, and they certainly didn't fit me well at all!

And if they don't fit Angie, or she doesn't like them, may I be next in line? Hee hee -- sisterhood of the traveling pants!

I got them off of ebay a while ago but they weren't kidding when they said they ran small. I can barely get them past my knees. They are my usual size (27) but they fit more like a 25 or maybe a very slim 26. I imagine they would fit a rectangle or inverted triangle best. I think I only paid $15 or so, so I'd rather just pass them on to someone here than go through the trouble of trying to re-sell them.

They LOOK exactly like these, but they are NOT "very stretch." They have stretch content, but it's definitely nothing outstanding. It's the same wash and rise, but mine have a 34" inseam.
