Do I get bonus points for the fact that I’m still waiting for delivery of something ordered in early October? </p> <p>I wanted to start wearing my “festive” pieces every day, wore my red velvet top with basic black/black &amp; white, and promptly ran out of steam. I could do the same with the green velvet T that I did with the black, but that isn’t very exciting. Another top has lots of rhinestones, so is too much for everyday, the velvet pants probably aren’t warm enough, and the dresses are indeed dressy (for me). So I’m at an impasse. I do this already, inspired by Beth Ann and Joy. </p> <p>In fact... in my earliest years on the forum, someone made a comment "why am I so sucked in by marketing for holiday dress -up wear when my only festive occasion is the church potluck supper". That described me to a T. I was enraptured with spreads of metallic slip dresses with heeled sandals that had no place in my actual life. </p> <p>After some challenges and inspiring threads here, I have evolved a festive season wardrobe that makes for a month of office wear with subtle touches each day, as well as outfits for church services that pick up on Advent themes.</p> <p>Looking forward to seeing what the rest of you are up to. </p>
